The Printworks

Claypath, Durham

If you want your own front door and a bit of Claypath energy, The Printworks is it. Mostly self-contained studios and suites with double beds throughout, plus a handful of shared houses and some of the best communal space.

If you want your own space and a proper address, The Printworks delivers both. Sitting on Claypath, one of Durham’s most-loved streets, it is a short walk from the university and the city centre, with cafes, restaurants and everything else right outside your door.

The Printworks is mostly studios and suites: self-contained rooms with your own bathroom and kitchen facilities, and a double bed. There are also a small number of shared townhouses and flats on Claypath for groups who want to live together, but still benefit from the communal facilities within the printworks.

Communal space is well-covered with several common rooms, a shared kitchen and a study room. The communal spaces are earmarked for a full renovation. More details coming soon, but it is going to be worth the wait. There is more to come. Parking is available nearby for a charge, and there is bike storage on site.

The Printworks tends to suit students who want a bit more independence: second and third years, postgrads and anyone who would rather have their own front door than shared living.
